Imho, it's weird that MDs are so surprised that plants are more beneficial than a pill when they know, or at least they should know, that the origins of big pharma come from botany. All pharma does is isolate specific compounds, synthesize & patents them so they can make billions. I'm not saying that pharma doesn't have a role to play, but it's kind of absurd that we've allowed them to almost completely take over medical treatments and blind us to the benefits of plants like marijuana & magic mushrooms. It's only racist political propaganda that created moral panics and resulting societal stigmas against these herbs.
