  1. To all of the newbies out there like me, learn from my mistake. Before you apply for your letter of recommendation, you must have documentation of a professionally diagnosed pre-existing condition. I was denied during the application process because, although I have conditions that are absolutely alleviated with medical cannabis, I don't have a "doctor's note" that says I have conditions that are potentially treatable with cannabis.

  2. I just got approved for my medical card. I cannot wait to get my card and FINALLY walk into a dispensary and just browse. Like it'll be the best feeling EVER.

  3. In California after you get your recommendation letter, you won't get medical discounts at the dispensary if you don't fill out a form through the government for a medical marijuana identification card, and you have to go to some government building in San Jose and that's where you bring your medical records, your ID, 2 pieces of legal mail that prove your place of living, possibly your birth certificate and ssn then they take your photo and that's where you get your government recognized medical marijuana patient card and that's how you get your card. This is from my past experience. I am finally trying to get another card again and I used the same one you did NugMD. I have my medical marijuana recommendation letter from the doctor at NugMD. I just don't know what to do now. I'm not sure how to fill out the form on the government website. I am also confused if I have to go down to the government building again or not to prove I really do have ptsd and severe nausea and need a medical card to be recognized by them. I am wondering if I can get the state recognized medical card in cali without having to go in person again and just do it all online. But since it's cali, I most likely will have to do it the same as last time. If you have any suggestions let me know. This is just my expereince with getting a medical marijuana card that garuntees your medical discounts on medical marijuana, and it is recognized by courts and cops and judges etc to be legitimate. Otherwise if you just have your medical marijuana patient approval letter from NugMD then if you go to a dispensary you are charged the same amount on weed as someone who is recreationally buying. I think it's really confusing how you can only get a discount if you do the interview with the state. You pay around $90 and they take your picture and they ask for all these documents and they interview you. They more or less want proof you really need it for medical reasons and not just because you got the refferal letter online. They claim if you have medi-cal insurance then it's 50% off but I have not expereinced that myself when I went even though I had that type of insurance at the time. I'm in the process of trying to get my card again right now and I'm having trouble remembering how to do it and what to do. I wish they didn't make it so confusing in cali but it is what it is. I hope this information helps you too.

  4. Ever heard about the care givers card? You give that to any of your random stoner friends and they cab go to the dispensary and buy without you and they can even keep everything.

  5. This is legit y'all. I did this two days ago and I'm waiting for my card to come in the mail. Also, on the OMMA site if you can prove you have active medicare, medicare, or a vet care they will reduce your fee. Instead of me paying $100 I only paid $20. I'm in Oklahoma so I don't know what the fee is in your state, but thought I'd throw that out there. 👍🏾

  6. Does the call have to be a video call or will the doctor allow a voice call to. The reason I ask is because I don't have wifi on my phone , but I do have wifi on my tablet.
